About Us

At Mandarin Mates, we create family adventures in China that blend travel, culture, language, and connection — designed specifically for children aged 6 to 8 and their parents.

We’re not a school. We’re not a kids-only camp. And we’re not your typical family tour. We’re something new: a shared parent–child cultural experience that runs during Australian school holidays, in cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an, and Chengdu.

Each camp is ~7 days of immersive exploration, language learning, cultural activities — and most importantly, time together.
